Lagos Scout Re-elect Alhaji olohuntoyin Adebesin as State Commissioner for Second term.

STORY BY SCOUTER IDOWU SAMSON. . A good term deserves another. *LSSC RE-ELECTS HER SSC FOR SECOND TERM*. History was again made in Lagos State Scout Council on Saturday 12th February, 2022 as the council RE-ELECTS her State Scout Commissioner; Alhaji Olohuntoyin Adebesin (WB) for Second term. In accordance with the existing Scouting procedure, the Lagos State Scout Council conveyed for her State Scout Executive Meeting in line with the State Scout Constitution to validate the tenure of the substantive SSC for Second term. The outgoing SSC in his official report read out his achievements within the period under review and specially appreciated all volunteers and leaders in the State Scout Council for their unflinchingly support and zeal toward the successes his administration was able to achieve. He equally took out time to thank all the former State Scout Commissioners of LSSC whose efforts laid down the fruitful foundation of the progress been achieved in this present moment. Also the report of the State Treasurer was read out containing the Incomes and Expenditures of the State Scout Council within the period under review. After the motion to adopt the read reports were seconded and supported, the SSC stepped aside and the State Executives dissolution took place. Thereafter the election to the position of the SSC was conducted. *After the receipt of nominations and secondment, at exactly 12:04pm, the Executive Meeting successfully declared Alhaji Olohuntoyin Tajudeen Adebesin (WB) as the substantive State Scout Commissioner for Lagos State Scout Council.* The Meeting was carefully Observed by the National Headquarters of the Scout Association of Nigeria TSAN ably represented by the Deputy Chief Commissioner of TSAN, Prince Dr. James Adeolu Oyelami (LT,DCC) and the Immediate Past SSC of LSSC and former ACC South West; Chief Jonathan O. Tawose (ALT). In his remarks, the Deputy Chief Commissioner congratulated the Newly appointed and latest SSC in the NSO. He also eulogized the LSSC for a successful State Executive Committee Meeting which included a high level of conduct displayed by the State over the years. He equally extended the warm wished of the Chief Commissioner of TSAN, Hon. Dave Padopads Awunah LT, DCC to the leading State Scout Council in Nigeria, Scouting wise. Also the long standing record of support which LSSC has given to the NSO in time past and presently remain indelible and would stand the test of time. The State Scout Council was equally advised to keep up the true Scouting spirit and harness the option of nominating a State Deputy President who will conveniently stand in gap for the State President when required. Chief Jonathan O. Tawose (ALT) in his remarks appreciated and congratulated the newly appointed SSC for his second term in office. He seized the opportunity to also appreciate the Scouters and volunteers who are the strength of the State Scout Council.

In his acceptance speech, the newest SSC in TSAN thanked all members of the Lagos State Scout Council on his re-election and promised to continually put in his best in making the State Scout Council maintains it's pace positively. The meeting had in attendance the ANTC South West, ASSC technical, State Headquarter commissioners, Divisional Commissioners, District Scout Commissioners and a representative of the State Scout Headquarters staffs.
