Lagos State Unveils Revised Youth Policy to Empower Over 10 Million Youths The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, has unveiled the Revised Lagos State Youth Policy, a groundbreaking initiative to empower over ten million youths in the state. The unveiling event held at the Luxury Party Event Centre, Alausa, was graced by key stakeholders across the youth ecosystem. Barrister Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, the Secretary to the State Government, described youths as "the energy, strength, hope, invention, glory, agility, compass, light, and creativity of the Greater Lagos Rising." She emphasized the critical role youths play in shaping the future of Lagos and encouraged them to actively engage with the policy while fulfilling their responsibilities. On Monday, 18th November 2024, the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu held a strategic stakeholders’ meeting with the Girls’ Guide and Scout Associations, as well as the Red Cross Society at her office in Alausa, Ikeja. The focus of the meeting was to brainstorm on innovative ways to strengthen these organizations and explore opportunities for meaningful collaborations that will inspire and empower the younger generation in Lagos State.
