SCOUT OF NIGERIA UNVEILED PLANS FOR NATIONAL SCOUT CAMP IN COMMEMORATIONS OF THE 110TH ANNIVERSARY OF SCOUTING IN NIGERIA

APPOINTMENT OF A COMMITTEE FOR THE NATIONAL SCOUT CAMP 
In commemoration of the 110th Anniversary of Scouting in Nigeria, The Scout Association of Nigeria is pleased to establish the National Scout Camp Planning Committee to oversee the successful organization and execution of this historic event. 
The following individuals have been appointed to serve as members of the committee: 
1. Alhaji Adebesin Olohuntoyin (SSC Lagos State)  – Chairperson 
2. Alhaji Garko Yusuf (ACC North West)   – Member 
3. Alhaji Isa Sanni (ACC North East)    – Member 
4. Deac. Olabisi Afolayanka (ACC North Central)  – Member 
5. Prince Simple A. Muhammed (ACC South West)   – Member 
6. Chief Charles Amah (ACC South East)   – Member 
7. Dr. Scot Aigbovia (ACC South South)    – Member 
8. Afusat Salami (NHQ Programme Planning)   – Member 
9. Samson Idowu (NHQ Youth Engagement)   – Member

Committee Responsibilities: 
The purpose of this committee is to plan, coordinate, and ensure the smooth implementation of activities that will celebrate the rich legacy of Scouting in Nigeria, specifically to: 
1. Develop a comprehensive program for the National Scout Camp. 
2. Coordinate logistics, including venue, accommodation, and transportation. 
3. Engage stakeholders and sponsors to support the event. 
4. Ensure compliance with national and international Scouting standards. 
5. Promote and publicize the event across multiple platforms. 
6. Provide periodic progress reports to the National Headquarters. 
In performing these tasks, the committee should work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders, including the National Scout Headquarters, State Scout Councils, and friends of scout. 
The committee is expected to commence its duties immediately and provide periodic updates on progress. Kindly ensure collaboration and commitment to making this event a resounding success. 
We appreciate your dedication to the advancement of Scouting in Nigeria and look forward to an outstanding celebration.

  1. Is scouting helping there members or it's benefit for the managers? Cause scouting is for boy's and manage by adults that should be what the movement should look into

This is a great idea, but kindly include some of the youth in the committee am not talking of Lawan Godfrey of Agege, but instead include other youth either from Mainland, Island, Ikeja, or Alimosho, also try to. Bring or invite those Youth and Elders that left because of something we can't disclose here, I could remember back then Parade team started from Mainland those days and they where very sound, neat, energetic and always ready to give the best, likewise Alimosho but Those Agege silenced them, but today those guys are extremely doing Well Good hunting

  2. Back then after Agege parade team claimed to be Lagos state parade team shut down many people
