NYCN LAGOS WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT HOSTS SUCCESSFUL VISIT TO MAXIMUM SECURITY CUSTODIAN CENTRE KIRIKIRI APAPA, LAGOS.



In a bid to extend hope and support to inmates in Lagos West correctional centres, 

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos West senatorial district, ably led by the Vice Chairman, Lagos West, hosted a visit to the Maximum Security Custodian Centre in Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos.

A Productive Engagement
The visit, which was part of the chapter's community outreach project, was a unique experience that offered a productive engagement with inmates. The visit opened the eyes and minds of the team to the challenges faced by the inmates, highlighting the need for continuous orientation on crimes and related matters to protect young people from falling victim. It also emphasized the importance of thorough investigations by security agencies, judiciaries, and other stakeholders before passing judgment.

Empowering Young People, Promoting Justice
Through this project, the NYCN Lagos West chapter aims to empower young people with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and avoid situations that may lead to incarceration. NYCN Lagos West also seeks to promote justice by advocating for thorough investigations and fair trials.

Complimenting the Effort of the Adigun-Led Administration
This visit is also a testament to the chapter's commitment to complimenting the effort of the Adigun-led administration in promoting youth development and empowerment in Lagos West. The administration's vision for youth development aligns with the chapter's goals, and this visit demonstrates the chapter's dedication to supporting this vision.

Partnership and Collaboration
The NYCN Lagos West  is grateful for the support of its partners, who share its vision of providing hope and support to inmates. The chapter recognizes that it cannot achieve its goals alone and is committed to collaborating with stakeholders to make a positive impact in the lives of young people in Lagos West.

The visit to the Maximum Security Custodian Centre was a humbling experience that reminded the team of the importance of compassion, empathy, and justice. NYCN Lagos West will continue to work tirelessly to support inmates and promote justice in the community.

Lagos State Scout Council Decorates Outstanding Women in Leadership The Lagos State Scout Council has decorated two outstanding women  and the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA  Hon.
